I am reading little bits of twenty different books at once, practicing yoga, meditation, Alexander Technique and learning how to cook Indian cuisine. I do my best at everything I spend time on, because each activity is its own work of art.

Sven is Nosing Me Hello

Such a nice day
Such a nice night.
Chancey is back to normal
and his brother is his doppleganger?
everyone I know is huggable
except for Otto
but oh well
that's ok
because I hug girly people too.

Hey guess what

It's really lame not to do your homework for looooong longlong extensions of time while completely dorking out trying to figure out how to play some card game in your new linux system when you could be reading David Sedaris and (gasp) actually be accomplishing your homework by doing so.

It's laaame to stay inside your house because you are upset about going outside after being yelled at by your alcoholic neighbor.

It's kinda lame to not wear WHATEVER you want when washing a dog, just because you feel silly about it.

Lamp lighting at night is lame. Twinkle lights are preferable. I don't understand the sun, but I sure do appreciate it.

Do you know what isn't lame? Sitting in a graveyard almost falling asleep looking at leaves. I like that.

Oh, I wish all of my friends could go to the colleges they want to go to! You know, the ones they write about in their diaries late at night.

she will feed you tomatoes and radio wires... but don't hate her when she gets up to leave

The Lighting in this Room is Very Yellow

I miss Anna, so I listened to Sheryl Crow on the radio when I took a shower this afternoon.

Anna always listens to the radio; it follows her around the house with every activity she does.

It's silly of me, but I miss Carey even though he only left yesterday. Writing correspondence makes me sad sometimes, because I think of it as taking a photograph of who you were just then, to show to a person who missed it. Not that every moment is profound or important... but I like to know the random quirks and habits of the people that I love.

I talked to Megan this afternoon. She really is a lovely person. It baffles me how someone can be so nice and so supportive, when I feel like I would be more resentful/bored coming from their shoes. It's nice to have friends who really care about what is going on in your life.

I have been having the most amazing weekend, and now I feel like I have an enormous hangover or something. I went babysitting this afternoon, and Tre played with action figures and killed them about a thousand times. He is adorable, and very hyperactive.. he likes to pretend he is flying.

I read him a story called "The Long, Long Letter." That should definitely go into the Children's Book Database.. it's super sweet. All of the characters have bulbous rosy noses. I realized how much I like reading to kids, because you get to use crazy voices. They sit on your lap and giggle at the pictures, and when you make jokes they really pay attention.

Babysitting is all about getting to know the kid you're with, so you can have interesting conversations about Batman vrs. Captain Planet or whatever.

I would like to say publicly that I like snails. This is one of Cordell's snails:

Edit: P.S. Props to Lucas for his mad crazy photographer skills!

Not a love song not a love song not a love song...

Today I went to the park.

I hid in the grass.
