Location: Eugene/New York, OR/NY, United States

I am reading little bits of twenty different books at once, practicing yoga, meditation, Alexander Technique and learning how to cook Indian cuisine. I do my best at everything I spend time on, because each activity is its own work of art.

"Take me from this place I know, the ruined landscapes that I once called home"

I've been listening to And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead off and on for the past two days. I imagine what it looks like to perform this kind of sound when I hear it. The guitars are intensely attached to stairs of violent motion, I think.

I've not much to report, since jetlag takes away my motivation. My mom got the new PNCA catalot in the mail, and a picture of me is on the cover. How weird! I look really vogue Norwegian.

I have a book called "First Love" which is a collection of interviews about people's first sexual experiences. It's fascinating, although not the kind of book I would carry around to read in the dentist's office. How comforting, to hear the inside stories of people's lives that you'd probably never find out otherwise. The interviewees are trying to keep people from making isolated decisions based on false advice.. I often wonder what happened sexually to older people when they were my age, which might sound strange. I spend enough time waiting to be an old person, so it makes sense to ponder things the other way around once in a while.

do you suppose that
fruit flies differentiate
between old and young?

I'm a little bit worried that people are going to treat me differently because I've been in New York. Really, it's just another state. I shall NOT let the "superior cultural center" mindset get into my head. We have better vegetables in Eugene, and hence no tolerance for such nonsense.
